Vitamin Therapy

Day of Appointment

It is important that you have adequate nutrition and have made an effort to hydrate prior to your appointment.  This will aid in dilating your veins, helping us to achieve better access to them creating for a smooth start to your vitamin therapy experience. We will be happy to provide you with a bottle of water upon arrival for your appointment.

While we all love our morning coffee, it is important not to overdo caffeine because it dehydrates your body and restricts blood flow to your veins. We recommend only consuming up to 80mg of caffeine (1 cup) prior to your Vitamin Therapy session.

Make sure that what you are wearing allows our nurses easy access to your arms to start your line for vitamin therapy. If you are wearing long sleeves, just make sure they are able to be rolled up.  We also provide blankets in our suite to ensure you are comfortable.

Post Treatment

Please leave your pressure bandage on for at least 20 minutes after your appointment is finished. You are free to resume physical activity the same day of your services.

Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to treatment.

Consider starting the supplement “Arnica” the week of your appointment as it has been shown to decrease inflammation and bruising after treatment.

Avoid Ibuprofen, Advil, or Motrin. Tylenol is acceptable to take if you are experiencing discomfort (if not contraindicated)

Neurotoxin injections are a temporary procedure; your treatment results will last approximately 3 months. Maintaining your treatment appointments with the frequency recommended by your provider will extend the results between sessions.

IMPORTANT: The results of your treatment can take up to 14 days to take full effect. Usually patients notice a change in 4-6 days. Please wait the full 14 days before assessing your treatment results. If you require more product to touch up/adjust your treatment results, it can be done after the full 14 days.

Your satisfaction is important to us! When checking out after your first treatment, please make an appointment to return to the office in 2 weeks for a quick follow-up appointment. This will ensure we can see how your facial muscles react to the treatment.
